November was a great month for Microsoft. We took part in the MTS conference in Warsaw and saw their new products, featuring Windows 8. At CODEFUSION, we know the world does not stop with Windows, we are all about pluralism in the IT sector. So it is our pleasure to present our newest project, a portal based on Open Source CMS Joomla!. It is a portal for the Association of German Social and Cultural Organizations in Poland. It is available under www.vdg.pl.
As a part of this project we’ve written a lot of extensions for Joomla! Some examples are:
• branches with categorized news and unique widget layout
• a calendar with a list of upcoming events
• an organizations map – based on Google Maps API and fully customizable form the admin area
• a blog module – fully integrated with the admin area
